Hello,We could use some guidance with a Windows update dilemma we have. I'm not sure if the issue is with Windows, Chrome, or the Lastpass Installer, as I've recently updated all three. My fingerprint reader is built into my laptop. I have a problem with any Windows 10/11 PC on our network when our internet goes offline.(FYI Our company is located in a farming/rural aria where internet is not stable)The PC's (all 75 of them) will not see or access any PC/Servers via Names on the net. 66 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10 64-bit build 19042.630. When internet is offline windows 10/11 cant see local LAN PC Names but only IP's Windows. No errors are showing in Device Manager either. It also did not have any of the Lenovo software pre-loaded after the restore (it's a 5th gen ThinkVantage X1 Carbon laptop) but I was able to download the software after the fact. I already attempted a restore to factory defaults, however it restored it to the most recent version of Windows 10 (1709) and not the earlier version it shipped with. I'm at a loss as to why I'm running into trouble with this laptop but not others. You have to wake up the computer by hitting the keyboard or trackpad, then the fingerprint reader would work. The option to configure a PIN in Windows hello is functional, so the GPO is having some kind of effect The fingerprint scanner sadly does not wake up the computer, but I totally wish it did.I have configured other laptops of identical model to use fingerprints by use of this GPO.The GPO "Turn on convenience PIN sign-in" is Enabled, with no other biometric or Windows Hello for Business GPOs being configured. The correct drivers are installed for the fingerprint reader because I was able to set up fingerprints prior to joining the laptop to the domain (I undid this setup prior to joining).
I'm having some problems getting the Windows Hello Fingerprint feature set up on one of our laptops.
